The purpose of the Animal Law Society is to provide a forum for education, advocacy and scholarship aimed at protecting the lives and advancing the interests of animals through the legal system, and raising the profile of the field of animal law among students at Quinnipiac University School of Law.

The organization hosts speakers, debates and conferences on current issues in animal rights law and animal welfare law, provides community service and works with other organizations cosponsoring official and social events.

Recent events included a panel discussion on animal testing in medical research.
