The purpose of the Animal Law Society is to provide a forum for education, advocacy and scholarship aimed at protecting the lives and advancing the interests of animals through the legal system, and raising the profile of the field of animal law among students at Quinnipiac.
The organization hosts speakers, debates and conferences on current issues in animal rights law and animal welfare law, provides community service and works with other organizations, co-sponsoring official and social events.
Recent events include a panel discussion on animal testing in medical research; participation in the National Center for Animal Law Closing Argument Competition; a radio interview discussing the CT State Legislature's Task Force on Animal Cruelty and the Circle of Violence.
