The purpose of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society is to educate, inform and connect students with the sports and entertainment industry by increasing networking opportunities, hosting seminars and workshops, and building relationships with affiliated organizations. The aim of the society is to continually raise awareness among our students and the industry and its professionals. The Sports and Entertainment Society shall function as a supplement to the knowledge gained in school, classes and life experiences.
Past speakers include Mary-Jane Foster JD '95, co-founder and former co-owner of the Bridgeport Bluefish baseball team, who spoke about her work experience, the impact of her law degree on her career, and various topics relating to the Bluefish, the baseball industry and sports in general.
