Concentrations

Our six concentration programs enable you to deepen your understanding of the legal issues and challenges in a practice area specific to your legal interest. Successful completion of a concentration may also give you an advantage in the job market.

We offer a selection of introductory and specialty courses in six dynamic legal areas:

These programs require that anywhere from 15 to 21 credits be completed in a specific legal area. In completing your concentration you’ll choose from many courses while meeting specific requirements. All have a writing requirement and most include a clinical component. (Learn more about our clinics...) In addition, all offer an honors option.

To complete a concentration, most students begin focusing their coursework in their second year, but many begin planning their concentration as early as the first year.
