Gifts made to the law endowment exist in perpetuity and provide security for the School of Law's future.
Law endowment funds at Quinnipiac can be created for:
Endowed funds provide the benefit of a permanent source of student or faculty support funding, substantial growth over time from both additional gifts and compounding interest and an everlasting tribute to the person whose name it bears.
Endowed funds pay out five percent of the fund's principal each year. Investment income earned beyond five percent is reinvested in the fund's corpus. So if, for example, a year's investment return were nine percent, five percent would be used for the named scholarship, fellowship or professorship and four percent would go back to the corpus of the named endowment fund.
